I had a cut on my foot and blood got on my new rainbow sandals which I bought at pac sun. My friends tell me i shouldn%26#039;t use water to clean it off because it would just make it worse.. any ideas?
Rainbow sandals?
Get a towel and wet it with WARM water. Gently dab the stain on the sandals with the towel. The stain should come right out. But, don%26#039;t soak it too much because it might ruin the sandals. Getting your Rainbows soaking wet will stain them worse than the blood. Once Rainbows are submerged in water, they are pretty much damaged forever!
Reply:Well, if you used a sponge and LIGHTLY soak it with water, then gently try to clean the blood off, it should get it off. If that doesn%26#039;t work, try using a little alcohol.
Reply:Go back to the store and ask what the best way to clean blood out of the shoe is...Good luck!
Reply:Have you tried a little hydrogen peroxide diluted in water on a q-tip?
Reply:sorry, but i dont think that rainbow sandals are cute.

Are sandals inappropriate for 33 year old men?
Wondering if sandals and flip flops are inappropriate for men in their 30%26#039;s, If not what types should they wear?
Are sandals inappropriate for 33 year old men?
certainly not!!!!! anyone can wear sandals at any age!!
Reply:Of course it%26#039;s okay to wear sandals!! My dad still wears them and he%26#039;s about 50. Anyone can wear them at any age and time.
Reply:I think that they would be perfectly fine, as long as you don%26#039;t go over the top. A simple brown leather flip flop or sandal looks fine with a pair of jeans or shorts.

Why sandals with hot clothes?
I hear sandals keep you cool, but their worn with hot clothing...jeans sweaters long sleeve shirts...so what%26#039;s up with that
Why sandals with hot clothes?
Uh...not always.
But sandals are comfortable and keep your whole body cooler. (When your head or feet are hot, you get hot all over).

Magic Sandals!!?
A old couple are on holiday inJamaica.
They are browsing the little shops full of bits n bobs. The husband decides he needs a new pair of sandals for their holiday and asks the jamaican man working in the shop if they have any in stock.
The shopkeeper tells him, %26quot;We have some verry special new shoes just come in mon! As soon as you put them on you will be overcome with lust for your woman! We call them the viagra shoes%26quot;.
Of course the old husband is very sceptical and begins to laugh.
The jamaican man says if you don%26#039;t believe me try them for yourself mon!.%26quot; So grudgingly the husband puts both shoes on and his wife is amazed to see he instantly comes over all misty eyed, she is just about to tell the shopkeeper they will take them, when her husband grabs the shopkeeper and bends him over trying to have sxx with him. The panicstricken jamaican yells

New sandals.. problems with toe.. sollutions?
So I got these two pairs of cuuuute sandals with the straps and everything.. I%26#039;m saying, they%26#039;re great. But, and there is a but, they are killing my third toe. I%26#039;m thinking good.. I%26#039;ll break them in, they%26#039;ll crack if they know what%26#039;s good for them. Until then.. I have this accentuated bone on my toe that I cannot get rid of. Do any of you know of some sort of treatment to make it go away as if it had never been?.. well, hope so...
New sandals.. problems with toe.. sollutions?
i don%26#039;t have a treatment answer, but clearly your sandals are %26quot;ill-fitting%26quot;. continuing to wear these sandals will only cause more harm in the future (bunions, blisters, corns, etc.). maybe you can exchange them or sell them and find something to accommodate your accentuated bone that would be more comfy.
i%26#039;m sure they are cute, but you should make sure the comfort of your feet come before fashionable shoes... feet take a huge beating from carrying our body weight around everyday.
Reply:buy some moleskin or change sandals. you need to build up a callous.

Does anyone else have this problem with sandals???
I absolutely love wearing sandals, particularly flip flops, but if I buy a pair with a dark colored insole, the dye gets all over the bottom of my feet. If I buy a pair with a light colored insole, the insole gets a beautiful image of my foot imbedded into it by the dirt, which then transfers onto my foot everytime I wear them. I mean really, what is more romantic than to go to your man%26#039;s place after a hot date, slip you sandal%26#039;s off, displaying your gross insoles and then running to the bathroom to scrub the bottom of your feet before he sees the dye and dirt imbedded into your soles? I mean really, anyone else have this problem? And please forget the %26quot;cheap sandals, buy new ones%26quot; solution. My sandals are upwards of $60 since I live in Florida and wear year round. It doesn%26#039;t matter how expensive or inexpensive, the problem is the same.
Does anyone else have this problem with sandals???
Wow, i have the same problem as you with the light color insole but i dont have a problem with the dye being on the sole of my foot. Interesting... I would like to know other people%26#039;s answers!

I notice women will cross their legs and when they have sandals on they will dangle their sandals to their toes with the foot that is crossed over and using their toes they will swing their heel of their sandal real fast from right to left.Do girls do it as a habit? Do any of you do it to flirt?

but i dont think its a flirting thing lol
Reply:I think it%26#039;s a nervous habit, but not to flirt.

Sandals Ocho Rios?
We just booked our honeymoon at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios for October 19-26. I would like some information from people who have been there within the last few months. I have read some bad reviews after I booked and it makes me nervous, but I have also heard wonderful things.
We are staying in the Plantation Villa 1 Bedroom Suite with pool and have concierge service.
Can anyone tell me what it was like and if any of you stayed in this type of room.
I am really excited about going, but nervous as well after reading some reviews.
Sandals Ocho Rios?
I have only read good things about it. I hope it is good cause we booked our honeymoon there also (July 28 - Aug 2). Similarily we booked the same Suite. How Awesome!!! Goodluck and have a Great Time!!
Reply:Was there last week. My daughter got married. It was very nice, but %26#039;orchestrated%26#039; I feel, and on a timeline pace-by-pace. Felt like a celebrity deal (rushed at times). Tips are SPENDY!!!! They did a %26quot;Weddingmoon%26quot; provided by Sandals. IMO, Sandals is nice-yes-BUT felt somewhat %26#039;Americanized%26#039; rather than true island, as Jamaica in itself is ruled by poverty; so I felt the %26#039;elegance%26#039; and ritziness was somewhat %26#039;fake%26#039; to the island%26#039;s true reflection. We were catered to-but again on a time frame. I missed the beginning of my daughter%26#039;s first dance because I had to use the restroom!!!!! For a GREAT waiter-ask for Floyd who does weddings at El Capitan (one of the resorts restaurants). He is WAY COOL dude-funny, flirty, makes your day. Also-if family-friends come TO Sandals and stay elsewhere, plan on approx. $140.00 US for a %26#039;day pass%26#039;. Down side-you really don%26#039;t get to explore the island or Ocho Rios with an all-inclusive, but the food/drinks are included. Do Dunn%26#039;s River Falls!! Club Amnesia, The Ruins. Margaritaville is %26#039;okay%26#039;. Make friends with security at gates-no problem mon!! Ask for %26#039;street (people) names to drop.
Reply:sandals is one of the best chain of brand hotel resorts in the world. In Jamaica the north coast is pretty safe, yes there is crime, but tell me where in the world you go these and there is no crime.I ave been site seeing London with my partner and rob at knife point, before i was in Jamaica for 4 wks go all over the island and never been rob. just go to fuljoy yourself,be polite and smile,ja%26#039;can ppl like when visitors smile.
Reply:I was actually there last Feb. I thought is was very pretty, but if you havent been to Jamaica you may be in for a rude awakening. The pan handlers there are AWFUL! The cab drivers offered us drugs of every kind, and the crime rate was really BAD! The resort itself was nice, all couples, the food was okay, the service was okay, but the beach was gorgeous!
Sorry to be a buzzkill!
Reply:Make sure to visit dunn%26#039;s river falls. bring water shoes! try not to limit yourself to just the all-inclusive; jamaica is a beautiful country and is filled with interesting people.

Cute women's sandals??
I%26#039;m having a heck of a time finding leather sandals in brown that don%26#039;t have a high heel or wedge. Preferably under 2%26quot;.
I didn%26#039;t want a thong style or gladiator style - anyone know where some great summer sandals are? Links?
Cute women%26#039;s sandals??
Theres a store in my mall, its called Walkings or something. I found some very nice leather sandals there, but they aren%26#039;t cheap! Around $100 and up! But they do match what you%26#039;re looking for.

Do you prefer open toe sandals, closed toe sandals or slip on shoes and why?
I am wondering what type of comfort shoe to get. I see advantages and disadvantages possible in each type. Open toes sandals seem to allow air to come in but I would think you would encounter painful stubbing of the toes all the time. So is closed toe sandals better? How about slippers or slip on shoes?
Do you prefer open toe sandals, closed toe sandals or slip on shoes and why?
i like them all but for work i wear slip ons to avoid injury and i don%26#039;t have to keep my toes lookin pretty all the time
Reply:i have slip on shoes and i love them they are comfy, go with everthing, and so convenient but only bad this is the rain :(
Reply:ummm i got no idea... i call them `sandals` and `shoes`!!! not open toe and slip on shoes
Reply:flip flops and open toe heels =)
Reply:Slip on shoes, my feet should not be seen.
Reply:Slip on shoes: Then I don%26#039;t have to polish my toenails :)

Sandals Royal Bahamian Wedding?
Has anyone had their wedding at Sandals? I am looking at the complimentary package. It says that one photograph is included. Do they take anymore than that? Do you have the option to buy more photos?
Also, what is the reception like?
Please include all details you can about your wedding.
Thanks!! :)
Sandals Royal Bahamian Wedding?
I suggest you talk to a local travel agent. They will charge you the same prices that you would pay direct at Sandals and do all the leg work for you. A good agent can get all this information for you and save you countless hours of research.
Look for a Sandas Certified Agent.
Reply:You should call them and ask the questions. I know that it is a nice place to go. I went to Paradise Island and I have never had more fun. Just call them, they are very kind and very professional, they will give you all the information you need because they want your business.

Sandals for my wedding?
I would love to wear sandals during my wedding. Do you think that it is to casual and wouldn%26#039;t be appropriate for a wedding? i want to be as comfortable as i can for my big day!
Sandals for my wedding?
Your getting married outdoors so there is probably already a certiain casualness to your wedding. I say wear them and be comforable! There are lots of cute bridal sandals out there that you could get to dress it up a little but still be allow you to be comfortable. And if your dress is long then no one is really gonna see what%26#039;s on your feet anyways!!
Reply:I think that if you want sandals, you should have sandals!
It%26#039;s your day. If you want to wear them, go for it! I think it would be cute for an outdoor wedding!
Reply:I guess it depends on the sandals. If you have any doubts, wear a pair of nice shoes for the ceremony and bring along some sandals for the reception.
Flip-flops, though, are pretty casual and I don%26#039;t think they%26#039;d be appropriate unless it%26#039;s a beach wedding (but that%26#039;s just me!).
There are plenty of pretty sandals out there that aren%26#039;t too casual, though, so if you found a pretty pair that are comfortable and coordinate nicely with your dress (gown), then go for it.
Reply:if you are more comfortable in sandals then i say go for it!! it%26#039;s your big day and no one should be looking at your feet!! plus if your dress is long enuf then no one should see them anyways!!!
Reply:We%26#039;re getting married in September outdoors in Texas, and I%26#039;m wearing sandals, so I say go for it!! ;) I%26#039;m going to be getting a pedicure, though, to be sure my toes are presentable...
I got a pair of these from Dyeables:
http://www.dyeables.com/templates/catalo...
Reply:It%26#039;s appropriate so long as your dress isn%26#039;t Princess Di formal. Besides, who sees your feet? They should at least be nice looking sandals, though, not your favorite tattered flip flops. Your feet might be cold, though.
Reply:is it an outdoor wedding? i think it might be disrespectful in a church but if not i say go for it, it%26#039;s your wedding. i got married on a beach and went barefoot
Reply:your day do what makes you comfy
Reply:ware what ever you want
Reply:Red boots, sandals, what%26#039;s the difference. As long as you can dance, you are okay.
Reply:I think that sandles are a good idea especially if it is a summer wedding. I see that now there are alot of nice wedding type sandles to choose from with rhinstones ect.
Its a nice change rather then the traditional white satin pump that it seems like everyone would wear a while back.
I also notice that as time goes on women are putting theiri own uniqueness on their appearance for the wedding. I once saw something on TV where this lady wore a white dress with red satin strappy sandles, and red nail polish, I thought it looked great, and I think its a nice change, everything doesn%26#039;t have to be so traditional all the time.
Anyhow Congratulations!
Reply:Is your wedding informal and in the summer? If so, sandals are fine.
If your wedding is a formal church affair, try satin ballet slippers. Just as comfortable, but more dressy.
Reply:Hi!!!
Yes this is your day so wear what is comfortable for you
Reply:It is absolutely appropriate! I wore white leather ballet slippers and felt comfortable all day long. You don%26#039;t want to be in any pain. The sandals sound great - congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!
Reply:wear whatever floats your boat girl and congrats!!!!!
Reply:I just bought some %26quot;Just Married%26quot; flip flop as a gift for someone I know that is getting married soon. Although I think they are by far too casual for the actual wedding, you might want them for the honeymoon.
They were $5.99 each at Jo Ann Fabric. They had white ones for the bride and black ones for the groom. If you walked in the sand, it would leave a Just Married imprint.
Reply:i would say yes if it is an outdoor wedding. what ever makes you comphy is all that matters.
Reply:It%26#039;s your wedding so do whatever you want. If someone does not like it tell them to **** off!
Reply:Do what you want - a friend of mine wore white Birkenstocks under her dress, yet another switched at the reception to comfy shoes. Just see that they match your dress a bit if they%26#039;ll show, but if it%26#039;s a long dress, no one will see them anyhow. Who really looks at the brides feet?
Most brides and bridesmaids wind up barefoot, drunk and looking for their shoes at the end of the night anyhow!
Reply:Depending on the length of your dress and the style of the sandals, you might be able to get away with it. It%26#039;s your day...The ball is in your court! Best Wishes!
Reply:that should be a great idea

Sandals are All Inclusive, so you don%26#039;t have to worry about meals or drinks, or non-motorized water sports and even scuba diving. They will charge for some optional things, like spa treatments and tours, for example.
Take a look at their website for the description of each of the hotels, or talk to your travel agent to help you select one. The price range will depend on when you%26#039;re traveling, but you can estimate about $2000 for 5 nights, give or take a couple hundred. This is for the most basic category, so don%26#039;t expect ocean front rooms for this price.

Reply:My husband and I just got back last Friday and we stayed at the Sandals Och Rios for 5 days. We stayed in the ocean front rooms and it cost us $3,0186. That also included roundtrip tickets from Iowa. We really enjoyed the resort. I left my camera on the other side of the resort and did not realize it until the afternoon. One of the workers had found it and put it at the front counter for us. I do not know who did it, but I think that when some chooses to be honest when they could have chose not to , that says a lot about the caliber of people they hire. They bend over backwards for you there. Ask and you will receive. The portions at the restaurant are small, however you can order as much as you want. The bus ride from the airport is about 1.5 hours, so that kind of sucks. Also, every person outside of the resort expects a tip for everything, including to use the restroom at Dunn%26#039;s River Falls. Also, expect to be offered pot, hash, and coke everywhere. That also sucked. Other than these minor things, our stay exceeded our expectations and would recommend this resort to anyone.

How to lace sandals?
i would like to know how you lace your strappy sandals- greek sandals especially- up the knee or just around the ankle?
How to lace sandals?
This may sound dumb but it depends on how tall you are. I mean if you%26#039;re short or of average height and you tie them up to your knee it%26#039;ll just make you look shorter. If you%26#039;re tall and also plan on wearing them with something short (eg mini skirt) go for it. But if you plan on wearing them with capris or Bermuda shorts or something else that%26#039;s around knee length tie them aroung your ankle, no matter your height cause you%26#039;ll just wind up looking short again.
Reply:I usually tie them a bit above the ankle... I don%26#039;t like wrappin them all the way up to my knee... but whatever u do make sure u tie them cris-cross style!!! :o)
Reply:My 17 year old has informed me the in thing is to criss cross them to below the knee. I personally like the around the ankle look. (What do I know though, I%26#039;m told I%26#039;m behind the times!)

Sandals is great, but the beach is too crowded. On the other side of the island you should spend a few hours at Long Bay beach. Best on the island. All beaches in Antigua are public, so dont worry about trespassing. If you have any more questions, I am an American living in Antigua, and I would be happy to help. dostallion@yahoo.com

What types of sandals can i wear outside of the house?
I am getting some new clothing and gear for the summer, and i realized i needed some sandals. Now usually i just wear a cheap kind of sandal that is just meant for around the house/yard/pool, but I really need something i can wear out to places such as the mall, park, or even to dinner? I have heard of birkenstocks (spelling may be off), but what are some other brands i can wear?
What types of sandals can i wear outside of the house?
Are you a guy or a girl?? Birkenstocks are good, but expensive, like $90 for a pair of sandals. They are kind of bulky looking. There are tons of good looking leather/rubber types of sandals out there, check out Zappos.com just to browse brands. They have a check list that you can search by, like type; sandal. color; brown, black, etc. even search by size. When you find the ones you like, either order them or find them at a store and try them on. I buy shoes online a lot, its good, if you dont wear them outside, or put tape on the bottom to protect them, you can return them in a resonable amount of time...like a few minutes or so!
Good luck-try to match your shoe type to your clothing style. So if you wear preppy style, like khaki shorts, then try some Nautica or J. Crew type of shoes....
Also, look thru a magazine and check out the ads or the photospreads of styles..you may see something similar out in the department stores or on the web.
Reply:just drive over to the mall and check out some shoes there...you bound to find something that looks cute to you...at least thats how i end up getting my shoes....

Great for wearing in the yard or even for a high-tea :%26gt; life are too stressed, just pamper youself and have a pair that is really comfortble to you but not looking so good in other%26#039;s eyes but soothe on your feets~* CHEER!

Guys who wear sandals with jeans. I think this look is so hot. My question is:?
I was wondering if you choose to dress this way. Like when you were buying your jeans did you plan on the possibility of sporting around sandals with them. Or was it something that happened by accident, maybe you didn%26#039;t have certain pieces of clothing clean or readily available and you had to leave the house right away. Or maybe your significant other had some influence on the way you dress. Whatever the reason please share. No guys who wear sandals with socks please.

Sandals that rub?
I%26#039;ve just brought a new pair of sandals. I tried them on and they fit beautifully and so brought them. However, once I wore them for the first time and had walked about half a mile, they began to rub my feet across the toes (the leather strap which passes over the toe area.) Obviously I can%26#039;t take them back because they have been worn outside so how can I soften them up to stop this happening. Any Suggstions please?
Sandals that rub?
Try breaking in the sandals gradually. Wear them a little each day, gradually increasing the time that you wear them.
Some people in my family have been known to put petroleum jelly (Vaseline) both on the area that rubs and on the strap. Do this only if the leather is dark colored because it may stain white or light-colored leather. It may sound bizarre, but it works.
Reply:try getting those party feet insoles and cut them down to size. Sick them with superglue to the inside of the strap
Reply:You could get some adhesive felt, the stuff they use for little model buildings on the grassy areas. It comes in green, red and blue. But if you%26#039;re in a hot climate though it may come off after a while.
Mink oil helps to soften leather so it%26#039;s a little more flexible, so you could try this as well.
Reply:sandals
Reply:they probably Will stretch as you wear them in the mean time wear plasters with them
Reply:You can try rubbing a bit of bar soap across the strap, make sure your feet arent%26#039; sweating (spray deoderant, or powder) or just wear them around the house until you break them in.
Reply:wait till yr feet have blistered let the blisters heal then put them on again were the original blisters were the skin toughens up a little letting you wear yr new sandals all the way through summer,or rub baby lotion all on the insides every night for a few days
Reply:persevere.....its worth it isn%26#039;t it, if they are so nice?

Do you prefer open toe sandals, close toe sandals or slip on shoes and why?
Assuming the weather is too hot for closed up shoes. I am wondering what type of comfort shoe to get. I see advantages and disadvantages possible in each type. Open toes sandals seem to allow air to come in but I would think you would encounter painful stubbing of the toes all the time. So is closed toe sandals better? How about slippers or slip on shoes?
Do you prefer open toe sandals, close toe sandals or slip on shoes and why?
It depends on what you are doing. I have the most comfortable pair of flip flops (open toed) that I wear all the time I usually wear them to work, shopping, hanging out with friends and that type of thing. If I am going to a park or going to be running, doing a lot of walking then I go with tennis shoes. You can never go wrong with a good pair of tennis shoes; they can be worn for so many different things. Really if you look for deals you could get a pair of open toed and a pair of tennis shoes that are comfortable for cheap. A lot of people now like Crocs….you know those slip on shoes that are rubbery with holes in them. They are very comfortable and they have closed toes. They can be worn with shorts, jeans, to walk in and better yet used as water shoes. What you need to look for is a shoe that is comfortable and meets the needs of whatever you are going to be doing and have a good fit. There is one down side of flip flops or open toed sandals when it rains your feet get wet and you slide all over the place, other than that for summer they are my favorite!

Sandals for summer dresses?
I plan on wearing dresses all summer because I can%26#039;t stand the heat so even shorts are a little too warm for me.
Since summer is just a few months away, I%26#039;m trying to find some cute sandals that would go with a variety of colors. I%26#039;ll be dressing very casually. I%26#039;m 19.
Any suggestions?
Sandals for summer dresses?
check out urban outfitters - they have cute strappy sandals that cost between $30-$50. My friend bought a pair and they look good with dresses as well as jeans! also, if you have time to look around, check out nordstrom rack - they have really great designer shoes at huge discounts. the only down side is that shoe styles available vary by style, but if you%26#039;re sizes 7-8.5, then you%26#039;re in luck! hope this helps :)

Sandals Negril?
Has anyone been to Sandals Negril? We are going on Monday. Just wanted to get any kind of advice. Also, we have Verizon cell phones. Will they work? Any use for a laptop or Blackberry for email?
Sandals Negril?
Sandals is one of the finest chain of Hotels Resort in the world, just relax and Full-joy yourself. There are lot%26#039;s of water sports to do.check out Margarita Vile,it%26#039;s beautiful.Because Nigrill is on the west coast of Jamaica you will see the sun set,man that%26#039;s the best thing i ever seeing.Your cell phones will work, when you landed in Jamaica your cell phones will swicthes to roaming and go on to Ja%26#039;can network, which is Digi Cell or Cable and Wirer Less.So you can still make calls and receive your messages, just remember that Cell Phones are global,so that mean that they can work anywhere in the world.....as for your Laptop it all depends if the sandals your are staying have any Internet wirer less connection.
Reply:Love Sandals!!! Not a huge fan of Jamaica, but I would go to Sandals anywhere =)
Reply:YES! We go every year and just love it. Hubby loves the scuba and there are many more water-sports available (all free of course). The gardens and beach are beautiful. The food and drink are good too. We like sundowner restaurant best (lamb chops is a favorite). Try a hummingbird at the bar, they%26#039;re just yummy. Also try a Jamaican patty at the beach grill.
Bring some bug spray as the little sand fleas seem to love me but they don%26#039;t bother Hubby as much. I guess I%26#039;m very tasty! Remember this is an island and very beautiful but different than the US. Don%26#039;t be demanding or rude cause the rest of the seasoned visitors will laugh at you. Bring your best manners and everyone will treat you with the utmost respect. If you see Nevill (grounds keeper) tell him Jim and Denise said Hi! He has lots of info about all the trees and flowers. Keep a lookout for geckos, they are good at hiding and they are just sooooo cute.
You%26#039;ll have a wonderful time and want to go back again and again. I%26#039;m so jealous, another 10 months until we return and it%26#039;s cold and snowy here.

Sandals resort in Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa???
My fiance and I have been trying to decide to go to an all-inclusive resort... we find the idea of everything being taken care of before we leave a heavy burden lifted... however, this is not a cheap decision. Has anyone stayed at this particular resort, or any sandals resorts? Is it worth the large price tag?
We are wanting to stay in the waters edge suite which has a butler... but our eyes are a bit larger than our pocket book at this particular time.
We are going to go on a strict spending if it is worth it, which is why I am asking this LONG-WINDED question to all you fine yahoo answer people!
You help would be GREATLY appreciated! Easy 10 points for open and honest answer...
Sandals resort in Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort %26amp; Spa???
Although we have never been to Sandals St.Lucia we have been to Sandals Negril Jamaica many times. You have to think that they would generally have the same standards at both. Yes, we do believe it%26#039;s worth the $$$ because of the included scuba diving that Hubby just loves. It would be very expensive if we had to pay. If you plan to use the water sports and you like to partake in free drinks (they can be very expensive if you had to pay) then it is surely worth it. In Negril the food is excellent and plentiful and the staff is great.
I might suggest that you check out tripadvisor.com for comments from people who have been to St.Lucia or other resorts for some great inside info.
Hope you have a wonderful time!

When booking my Honeymoon with Sandals Resorts I put down my Fiancee's married name. Advice?
When booking my Honeymoon with Sandals Resorts I put down my Fiancee%26#039;s married name. I realize this was stupid but apparently it is too late to change it (without a significant fee!). It is still 3 months til my wedding but they say they have already issued the tickets. Sandals of course wants to make more money by making me pay a $150 fee and buying a whole new ticket at a new price. I called american airlines and a lady there told me that as long as SOMETHING matched the tickets I would be ok. So she told me to bring my marriage license along(which i get day of wedding?) and I should be fine getting thru emigration and on the plane and everytihng. Has anyone successfully done this with just their marriage license to match their plane ticket? We are going to Jamaica. Sandals Inn in Montego Bay. I can%26#039;t afford to buy a new ticket or go to one of the more expensive resorts. Thanks so much!
When booking my Honeymoon with Sandals Resorts I put down my Fiancee%26#039;s married name. Advice?
i think it should have been her maiden name but check with sandals again, speak to a manager. after all her name will be the same as yours at that point, but the passport name wont match. do you get your marriage licence straight away in the us? we in the uk dont. so im not sure what is best to do. i think as long as the passport is valid and you can verify your just married it should be cool, good luk

Sandals to go with skinny jeans?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WOMENS-BLACK-MID-H...
Will these go nicely? or are they too dressy for skinny jeans?
i%26#039;ll be wearing casual tops with the jeans
Am petite, 5 foot, size 6. am having trouble finding correct shoes to go with skinny jeans.
Sandals to go with skinny jeans?
Its a nice pair of shoes . i guess it would look great with skinny jean and fitted top. Black is a versatile colour, you could also team it up with dress .
I dont think its too dressy , it add a little shine to the overall dressing. Like the %26quot;diamond%26quot;
Reply:In my personal opinion those shoes are not the right look to be going for as they look slightly cheap - please don%26#039;t be offended I am just trying to help.
Skinny jeans look good with many types of shoes - especially sandals and wedges
These are still dressy:

These are in with the gladiator/roman/grecian fashion:

These go very well with skinny jeans (Peep-toes - I have this pair myself):

And these are just nice and versatile:

Good luck finding a pair, I hope I didn%26#039;t cause offence.
Reply:It would depend how you normally dress. I know some people that it would look like they were going to a night club or a fancy restaurant, while other friends of mine (or myself) would look normal in these. If you usually wear heels a lot, they would look good, and not too dressy if your top is casual.
Reply:id go for a more...peep-toe kind of high heel if thats what your after...peep-toe with skinny jeans look heaps hott...scope it out at the mall!!! =) good luck..btw those shoes look a bit dressy in a way of the detail at the front...=) but if you like it..by all means go for it=)
oh and if ur wearing casual with the jeans..maybe go for grecian style sandals...like the T shape..of maybe jst nice, cute ballet flats..=) ballet flats are always good with skinny jeanss...hope this helpsss

Club Med or Sandals Resorts?
Looking to get married and honeymoon at either Club Med (Sandpiper, FL) or Sandals (Bahamas). Club Med seems easier since it%26#039;s in the US...but Sandals seems more intimate. Anyone been to either? What are your thoughts?
Club Med or Sandals Resorts?
My hubby and I stayed at Sandals 7/2006 for 8 days and 7nights. They upgraded our room to a villa, the bar in the room was well stocked, the room was nice like a medium size apartment, and we had a nice patio. The resort was really nice until some type of sewage leak happened across the street and smelled up the entirer area. Then the villa next to us had a bad toilet backup and we heard the plumbers banging all night. We were told by the workers at the post office across the street that the sewage odor happens every so often. The smell was horrible for about 2 days. If I had to rate the Resort plus the entire experience in Nassua Bahamas, I would give it 6 out of 10. The food was great, and they had a good organized daily entertainment plan. I did like Bahamas Sandals better than the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay Jamaica, and there was no oder there, just continous begging for tips on the Island, even by security at the Airport.

Sandals Resorts for Honeymoon????
I know I have asked this question a few weeks ago and unfortunately I only got about 5 reponses. My fiance and I have decided to go there for our honeymoon but wanted to hear feedback before we make the reservations. I would like to know if anyone has had the experience at one of the Sandals Resorts and was it worth the trip? Which one did you go to and how much was your package if you don%26#039;t mind. Thank you!
Sandals Resorts for Honeymoon????
We just booked our honeymoon for Couples Resort in Jamaica. It%26#039;s couples only, all inclusive, 7 nights %26amp; airfare. It cost us 3500.00 including round trip airfare.
Reply:My husband and I went to Sandals St. Lucia, and I think that we were at the Regency resort. And we wouldn%26#039;t have changed it for the world!!! It was SO amazing and breath-taking, we would have liked to go back for our one year anniversary, but can%26#039;t now that we are expecting a baby, and it would be cutting it too close. But we spend about $7,000 including airfare and everything in inclusive in the Sandals resorts so that%26#039;s really nice. And if you are on an island that they have other Sandals resort, such as St. Lucia-there are three different resorts on that island- they have shuttles that will bring you to other resorts which was REALLY nice!!! ALso, the reason why we paid so much was because we had our own private villa over looking the inlet, our own pool, and our own butler service. And it was WELL WORTH IT!!!
Reply:I haven%26#039;t been there yet, but my fiance and I are going to be staying at the Sandals Royal Carribbean for our honeymoon. We%26#039;re going at the beginning of November and our package is about $2050 with air, transfers and 3 nights of hotel (total for 2 with taxes, etc.).
Sandals are pretty good properties. I worked in the travel industry for about 6 years and have heard plenty of good things. It%26#039;s adults only and mostly honeymooners and anniversary couples. Keep in mind that most of the restaurants require nicer dress.
Congratulations and have a great time!

You probably didn%26#039;t get many answers because it%26#039;s pretty much a shot in the dark that someone in %26quot;weddings%26quot; would just happen to have gone to that specific resort. You need to go where people are obsessed with travel. I would strongly advise going to this site:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/
Go to forums %26amp; then click on any area you%26#039;re considering visiting and just post a question specifically about Sandals. The people on there helped me SO much when planning my trip to Hawaii. They even looked up packages with my dates, gave me other options on hotels, looked up airfare for me, etc. and I didn%26#039;t even ask for that.
Plus, the site has reviews on every hotel %26amp; resort and also they rank them from #1 to whatever based on reviews. The reviews were really helpful when I was deciding whether or not to choose the hotel I wanted.
Best of luck!

My husband to be and I are booked to stay at the Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica from 6/15/08-6/21/08.
Airfare: I had American Airline miles to fly us both, all we had to do was pay taxes of $100 or so.
Sandals Whitehouse resort: It is a fairly new resort (I think it%26#039;s been open only 3-4 years) and it is about 1 1/2 hrs south of Montego Bay airport. Sandals is providing the transportation to %26amp; from the airport. We booked it in October of 07. They were having an upgrade special where for the price of a standard room, we get a honeymoon suite. I used a travel agent to book adn it was the same price Sandals woudl have charges (I checked online). We paid $2352 plus $116 for trip insurance for the both of us for 5 days, 6 nights, all inclusive. Not bad.
Check out all the fine print on the Sandals website. If you are going through a travel agent, have them check for specials, upgrades and current promotions. I just saw a commercial on the other day about some special promotion they are running if you book by 5/31, I believe.
Good luck!
Reply:I haven%26#039;t been to a sandals resort personally, but I know MANY peoples who have gone for honeymoons/vacations. and Everyone I have talked to loved it, the price can be a bit steep depending on what accomodations you pick, etc. but they usually hold sales periodically. And I have heard its a lot of fun!
Hope that helps

Are lucite heels/sandals cheap looking? In style?
Lucite heels- fashion faux pas? Ok, not stripper shoes, but I got a pair that have a kitten heel, which is a small heel, they are sandals that are clear with a silver buckle and silver sole in the footbed. I have not worn them yet.... I just can%26#039;t figure out if they%26#039;re in style or not.
Shoes like these:

Some also have buckles or rhinestones on them.

I think they look fab... and everybody says that...

What type of sandals should I buy my girlfriend? What would look best on her?
Here is a shot of her legs and feet:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f272/b...
If it matters, she%26#039;s 160 cm (5 ft 3 in) and has shoe size 6 (US). And we%26#039;re 18... just to help you recommend a style that suits our age :-p
I want to surprise her with a nice birthday gift, but my taste isn%26#039;t a girl%26#039;s taste, haha.
Oh, also, she HATES socks and closed-toe shoes, she never wears them... that%26#039;s why I have to limit my choices to sandals :pp.
As long as they%26#039;re sandals, I guess they%26#039;re all right :-). Heel height... she wears anything from flat to 4.5 inches.
Would appreciate if you could give a link to a picture too, so I can see what you%26#039;re talking about.
Thanks a lot!!!
What type of sandals should I buy my girlfriend? What would look best on her?
Do you have the brand Guess where you live? They make a cute, affordable flip-flop (thong) sandal in black, white and metallic. I brought a pair for a friend. She is 20, 5 ft. 2 in. tall, and wears a 61/2 to 7 in shoes. She loved them, and she wears hers all the time. I was in Miami and bought them for her in the bronze color. I purchased the size 7 and they fit great. The ones at this link are similar:

I have a pair of the following shoes. I love them and I always get compliments on them. They look great with jeans or dress pants and even skirts.

Reply:well sandals can be elegant and casual so it depends on what style and what price range you want. these seem simple but elegant.
Reply:Firstly, a u go gal 4 ur girlfriend..no heels, no punched-up toes..she had to be ur dream-girl or having a varicose vein granma or a toejam prob but iI%26#039;m serious.. as a 15 year-old girl (why else will I be answering this?) I love Birkenstocks. Just go Google on it. They are not too pricey, nor do they make u look cheap. Suede inside-so your soles don%26#039;t need pumice stones after a long day-are comfy. Also, if u%26#039;ve got the same shoe size u cud surprise her with a men%26#039;s range sandal that u cud switch and wear alternatively or better yet buy 2 pairs..lyk hey bebe if it%26#039;s good for u it%26#039;s smashing for me. Or you cud look for open slippers of the Oriental variety for a dinner-out. Good luck whatever choix u make!

Reply:I am a huge shoe fan! My favorite place that I buy shoes to support my habbit is Ebay! You can go there and get shoes for cheap and they will be name brands. I have a pair of the following shoes. I love them and I always get compliments on them. They look great with jeans or dress pants and even skirts.
Reply:a sandel with a littel heal at the back just to make her a little taller and a flower just above her toes and pink

TSA suggests wearing sandals?
From the TSA website -
%26quot;Suggested footwear includes flip-flops and thin-soled sandals without metal.%26quot;
In an evacuation, flip flops and sandals are not the best shoes to wear, that%26#039;s been proven. Do you think it is irresponsible for the TSA to suggest footwear that the FAA and NTSB say are dangerous for flying?
TSA suggests wearing sandals?
I disagree with the whole flop-flops and thin-soled sandals. If you look at the flight safety card on an airplane, they say that shoes with laces are the best. In case the airplane crashes (which is rare) if you have laced up shoes, they won%26#039;t fly off upon impact. Also flip-flops will not protect your feet while you are trying to avoid stepping on all the metal debris after an airplane accident.
I can understand the TSA desiring people to wear flip-flops because it makes going through security faster since people are not all taking time to remove their shoes. But I did read an article about how dirty and full of bacteria the floors of the security lines are and how it is possible to pick up fungus from other people%26#039;s feet.
Reply:This is what happens when the government contracts our aviation security to the lowest bidder.
Reply:Even though this doesn%26#039;t relate, ladies, do yourself a favor. Don%26#039;t wear panty hose when you fly on a large aircraft. On a small aircraft, if you have to use the evacuation slides, you probably won%26#039;t have a problem. On a larger airplane, if you have to use the evacuation slides then the friction from it will cause the panty hose to fuse to your legs and you will require surgery to get them off. (I fly a very large jet aircraft).
Reply:TSA as in Technology Student Associaton..if so...go to the board and discuss the situation with them!!! I%26#039;m a member of TSA.
Reply:Here are couple of personal examples of how ignorant TSA personnel are... While I was working for an charter airline I was required by the FAA, like any other crewmember, to carry a flashlight. I happened to like my 2 D cell Maglight, well the TSA person told me, while I am standing there in uniform, that it was unacceptable. I had to get his supervisor and even then it wasn%26#039;t easy explaining the FAR outweighed their %26quot;ideas%26quot;. Also, while in uniform and after showing my ID, I was asked for my ticket. I told her I had seat 3 and she just looked at me funny, luckily another TSA agent stepped in and helped her out.
Wearing anything less than tennis shoes is an extremely bad idea aboard an airplane, for the reasons explained above. The TSA isn%26#039;t concerned about safety, they are concerned about their little world.
Reply:Great question!
Personally I always travel with very comfortable shoes--- ones that I can walk a long way in if I need to (sometimes even getting to the car rental desk can be quite a trek) and I wouldn%26#039;t ever dream of wearing flip-flops... I often see people take their shoes off as soon as they settle into their seats, well before takeoff, or ladies travelling in 4%26quot; spike heels, and other gear that would be aabsolutely horrible if you managed to evacuate from a crash and had to walk a ways.
By the same token, though... airlines let babies fly for free if they stay on an adult%26#039;s lap the whole trip. How safe is that?? Even in rough air, a baby can get bounced about, hit the seat in front of him, or even bounce out of mommie%26#039;s arms and onto the floor. It%26#039;s very dangerous even if there isn%26#039;t a crash... yet every flight I%26#039;ve been on lately, there%26#039;s been at least one infant in arms...
I think with regards to the TSA they are simply trying to get people through the line as fast as they can and aren%26#039;t concerned about what happens after they pass security. And I think the airlines are only concerned with filling up that plane; knowing people look for the cheapest transport possible for their family, they allow the infant-in-arms thing when they really shouldn%26#039;t (and several countries ban this all together).
I guess it is just one more thing for knowledgeable travellers to add to their checklist.
Reply:I was fine going through the security in Washington, DC with regular-soled shoes, but in Las Vegas they made me take them off. I think the whole thing is silly, really.
Reply:Yes, very. I ALWAYS travel in jeans and tennis shoes, for that very reason. I would rather take a few minutes and retie my shoes that chance anything happening later in a bad situation.
Not to mention that walking barefoot thru an airport is GROSS!!
Reply:How many times have you had to evacuate a plane? How many times have you had to go through security and take off your shoes and go through the whole process of tying or untying, etc.?
Yeah, it probably is irresponsible but then again, the TSA is full of s***!

Who do you think wears sandals the most. Men/Boys or Women/Boys?
Just doing a little reasearch finding out who wears sandals the most, and this is all kinds of sandals anywhere from flip flops to sport sandals etc.
Who do you think wears sandals the most. Men/Boys or Women/Boys?
Definitely women. Both men and women wear flip-flops and although men wear the terrain-looking sandals and some casual sandals, women usually go more for the style of fashion sandals in addition to flip flops and other styles. We spend $20 getting our feet to look cute every 2 weeks and then have to buy the shoes that will show them. In general, women just have way more shoes than men.
Reply:Actually Women/Girls wear sandals the most but out of the 2 choices that you gave me Women/Boys wear sandals the most! :)
Reply:It seems to me that it is a wash for all ages of the female gender. In the male category it seems like it is mostly boys or older men. The middle area seems to be low in numbers. I am proudly one of the middle stats.
Reply:def women boys
women like to wear sandals to stay comfy
Reply:Women wear sandals more often, but men can work em if they have nice feet. Trim those nails; get a pedicure. It%26#039;s very liberating and feels devine! Keep your sandals simple if you%26#039;re a man, nothing too clunky or chunky. Rainbows!! They look good on anyone. And I still like Nike or some brand of %26quot;soccer%26quot; sandals.
Reply:u put men/boys or woman/boys. lol. but i think woman wear more sandals then men
Reply:lots of young guys love the sandals more than women.

Sandals Resort for Honeymoon?
Has anyone gone to the Sandals Resorts for their honeymoon? I%26#039;ve heard the packages are all inclusive. Was it worth the package price and did you enjoy yourself? How much was your package for you and your husband/wife?
Sandals Resort for Honeymoon?
I think it%26#039;s the luck of the draw. I had a friend who just got back from their honeymoon at the Sandals St. Lucia and didn%26#039;t really enjoy it. The person who claims how luxurious must be a Sandals representative! I%26#039;m not saying they didn%26#039;t have a good time, but they felt a little awkward the entire time. They mentioned the food not being all that great, but that there was PLENTY of it. The room wasn%26#039;t really clean, mold on sink and tub. You can look at tripadvisor and read reviews, lots of people complain of bugs and mold.
Might be great for a couple in their early 20%26#039;s and who aren%26#039;t expecting too much and aren%26#039;t making enough money to pay for something a little nicer.
Reply:they are truly all inclusive! and luxurious! and you will feel spoiled and pampered! its a grand idea for a honeymoon! let them know its your honeymoon and they may throw in some little extras!
the only extra funds you will need will be for souvenirs or taxis and purchases made outside the resort!
happy wedding!
Reply:My good friend went to Sandals Royal Bahamas for her honeymoon. She said it was a fun vacation and everything was included BUT she regretted not doing something a little bit nicer for her honeymoon. According to her, the Sandals she visited was somewhat dirty and rundown. (Maybe they%26#039;re not all like that, I don%26#039;t know.) She said it seemed more like a spring break destination than the place to go for a romantic honeymoon. She paid $3500 for 1 week.
Reply:I LOVE Sandals resorts... have been to three in Jamaica, and, yes, they are TRULY All-Inclusive.... meals, drinks, activities, and no tipping! Once you%26#039;ve paid the trip total, you%26#039;ll only have to worry about money for souvenirs. The trip will cost you anywhere from 1800-4000, there are too many variables, such as where you%26#039;d be flying from, the time of year, and the room category you select.
Reply:We went to Sandals Ocho Rios in Jamaica.
It really is all inclusive. No lies. The only things that aren%26#039;t included are tours and spa, which they say upfront.
We paid $2800 for a week. It was the best time. There is plenty to do on the resorts, lots of activities and sports. We also did three tours which cost about $400 total. The rooms are large (we had the lowest grade room), the staff was friendly and helpful, you don%26#039;t tip anyone which is so great! The food is good and there were a variety of places to eat.
Now it isn%26#039;t super luxurious or modern as someone else pointed out, but everything was clean, the food was good and people were friendly. I didn%26#039;t think it was like a spring break resort at all, but it was more geared towards fun rather than luxury or fine dining.
Reply:My husband and I spent 7 days at Sandals St. Lucia and 7 days at Sandals Antigua for our honeymoon, and went to Sandals Royal Bahamian for our one year anniversary. I loved all of them. We are planning a trip to another resort, possibly Jamaica, soon.
They really are all-inclusive, down to the drinks. There are a couple of things that aren%26#039;t included, like the spa, but they are very upfront about that. There are plenty of things to do, we have yet to get bored at any resort! With all the other people being couples, it was very easy to meet people, and also easy to just spend some alone time together. We also received several gifts for going there on our honeymoon. We had a beautiful basket on the day we arrived, little special things along the way, and we received a very nice set of luggage.
I highly recommend it!

Sandals and shorts in winter?
I live in Atlanta, which has mild winters compared to, say, Buffalo or Minneapolis, but no matter what the Chamber of Commerce says, it still gets pretty cold. Recently we had some raw, dank, chilly weather, and yet within four or five days, in different neighborhoods, I saw guys wearing shorts and sandals. (No socks.) The odd thing is that they were wearing jackets and hats in at least partial acknowledgment of the wintry weather. Is this some new trendy fashion statement I%26#039;m just finding out about? As I said, all the wearers of this look were guys. Is it some kind of macho statement: i.e., %26quot;I%26#039;m Spartan-tough!%26quot; ? It seems to me as boneheaded as wearing a baseball cap backwards. And in fact two of these latter-day Barabbases wore backwards baseball caps, which made me suspect this %26quot;neo-Spartan look%26quot; is some kind of mindless trendoid thing.
Sandals and shorts in winter?

Honeymoon at Ti Kaye or Sandals?
Things I would like in a resort:
beach access at my hotel (i%26#039;ve heard that some Sandals you have to take a boat or bus to the beach...I%26#039;m not into that.)
Outdoor shower or plunge pool.
really nice bath tub/jacuzzi.
air conditioning.
a balcony or porch or deck (preferably with a hammock)
friendly staff but not so friendly that they don%26#039;t leave you alone.
Basically this is the stuff I%26#039;d ideally want. The place doesn%26#039;t have to have it all but the more the better. It also doesn%26#039;t have to be Ti Kaye vs. Sandals but basically I%26#039;m weighing the pros and cons of an all inclusive huge resort company like Sandals and a smaller independent place like Ti Kaye.
Any thing you got will help. I wish it wasn%26#039;t so far away!

Reply:I sell Avon but i haven%26#039;t seen those yet. What area of the country are you in? Go on the avon site and try to find a representative in your area. The rep should be able to get in contact with avon and find out how to get you the sandals.
